I am experienced basic scientist trained in pharmacology, biochemistry, and electrophysiology who has spent the past decade researching head and neck, bladder, and breast cancer in both in-vitro and in-vivo systems. The current focus of my research is to understand how the p38-MK2 pathway regulates cancer growth and metastasis through interplay with the host immune system. The lab utilizes a variety of molecular techniques including lentiviral induced knockdown and CRISPR knockout cell lines to investigate potential avenues for molecular intervention in both in-vitro and in-vivo models. Our long-term goal is to identify treatment modalities that can synergize with radiotherapy to enhance patient outcomes and reduce side effects.
